CAMP CURTAIN CALL

We are excited to welcome all of our campers back to the PVPA Conservatory for our Camp Curtain Call!  Our fun and enriching performing arts camp will focus on building confidence, community, and stage presence. Students are encouraged to be expressive and creative while building a strong foundation in acting, singing and dance.  

JUNE 14-25, THE LION KING KIDS - SOLD OUT
Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother -- and former heir to the throne -- has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The African savannah comes to life and an unforgettable cast of characters journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

JULY 5-16, THE JUNGLE BOOK KIDS
The jungle is jumpin' with a jazzy beat in Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS featuring a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie. Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.

JULY 19-30, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR. - SOLD OUT
Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

AUGUST 2-13, ALADDIN KIDS - SOLD OUT
Based on the iconic animated film, with an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, Disney’s Aladdin KIDS is sure to send campers soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with adventure. When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her.  Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more are here in Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.

Designed for beginning and intermediate performers ages 5-11, students meet Monday-Friday for two weeks. Tuition is $550. Camp hours are 10am-2pm and the doors open at 9:30am.     - All Campers and PVPA Staff and Counselor Volunteers will be required to go through a symptom SCREENING every day prior to entering the work space/camp.
    - All PVPA Staff, Volunteer Counselors and Campers are told not to come to work/camp if they are sick, or if they are exposed to a person who has COVID-19. 
    - PVPA Conservatory Camps will be following the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (LADPH) Order of the Health Officer protocols for Day Camps, and additional guidance given by directly the LADPH.
​​​​​​​    - PVPA will have a live show on the Norris Theatre Stage on the last day of  Camp.
