The Palos Verdes Performing Arts (PVPA) a not for Profit 501c3 TIN 95-3254351 and its Norris Theatre has been a vital arts organization for the Peninsula for 38 years. From professional theatrical offerings, to rock and roll legends and tribute bands, to chamber orchestra and jazz concerts, to dance acts and magic, we believe PVPA’s Norris Theatre has created a home for the arts in our community. PVPA with its three venues – the Norris Theatre, the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion, and the Conservatory for our youth was built for our community, by our community. Now because of the COVID-19 pandemic, PVPA’s very existence is in jeopardy.
The Theatre, which has been closed since March 12, is left without the ability to host any in-person performances; the Pavilion has not been able to be utilized for weddings, celebrations of life, fundraisers, etc; and the Conservatory operation was shut down until August, and now can operate only at 25% of capacity. We have been forced to lay off over 40 employees, and the remaining few focus on doing their best to maintain the venues, and their patrons.
PVPA has always needed to fundraise a million dollars annually to continue being the jewel of our community on the Peninsula, but now we need you more than ever to help weather the storm and give us the opportunity to open again in the future.
